UASA directors, staff and associates are a small yet agile team of professionals with extensive experience in a range of aviation, commercial and scientific fields. By bringing together a team of qualified, experienced individuals and partner businesses, UASA have access to innovative in-house technologies with an array of external resources we can draw upon. 

 

UASA was formed in 2018 as a specialist Environmentally focused UAV enterprise. A subsequent joint venture between​ UASA / Shift Geophysics in 2019, created a new entity, AirGeoX  (Airborne Geo Exploration Pty Ltd), which works alongside UASA. AirGeoX operates UAV survey with a particular focus on Aeromagnetics.  AirGeoX is currently the principal trading entity of the group of companies ultimately owned by Ausdrones Pty Ltd, completely as at May 2025.  UASA recently updated the in-house operational ReOC via the new Airborne Geo Exploration ReOC. A whole new CASA approved  ReOC operating manual and procedures documentation for the UASA / AirGeoX business was finalized with CASA in October 2025. 

 

During the 2020 - 21 year, AirGeoX introduced its first custom Generation 1 Magnetometer to the Australian Market. In September 2020, another entity with a similar, competing name, Airborne Geo Exploration International Pty Ltd was formed in competition with AirGeoX - Airborne Geo Exploration Pty Ltd, by one of AirGeoX's own shareholders!

 

This other similar named and competing entity of AirGeoX proposed commercialization of the AirGeoX in-house developed Magnetometer, as a Generation 2 version of the Magnetometer, for the international market and interim supply to AirGeoX (locally in Australia). Airborne Geo Exploration International Pty Ltd was then required to change its name as it contradicted Australian Corporations Law relating to similar names that mislead potential clients.  That Airborne Geo Exploration International Pty Ltd company was renamed Tau Geosystems under the same ABN: 63 643 923 335 and is currently in dispute with Airborne Geo Exploration Pty Ltd as at November 2025.

Not wishing to be "left in the lurch" due to not having control of the primary Magnetometer sensor, removed from the business by a now ex shareholder, UASA and AirGeoX Managing Director David Alam during December 2025 has embarked on development of a brand new and enhanced Australian made Magnetometer utilising the QuSpin Total Field Mag (TQFM).  Once more UASA and AirGeoX will have a 100% controlled high quality Magnetic Sensor.
